To prevent the girls from slipping and falling whilst walking on ice, we found a solution inspired by curling, the sport of sliding a large granite stone over a smooth sheet of ice. The thrower wears a “gripper shoe” which has a special layer of a rubber material applied to the sole. We glued sandpaper to the soles of all the shoes to allow the girls to walk effortlessly and elegantly, but very delicately like Bambi on ice.

Afterwards, our Russian client, Day & Night, flew us to St. Petersburg to recreate the entire show for the store.
